DeFINE is an EU-funded project developing a fashion-tech innovation network throughout Europe. A key part of the project is their 8-month mentoring programme, where fashion-tech businesses receive 80hrs of mentoring from fashion and fashion-tech experts.

The Third Meeting in London

The goal of the meeting was to present and finalise the second Intellectual Output of the project, the Tuning Document. The benchmarking report identified the fashion-tech field as fragmented and disjointed in aspects related to professionals, disciplines and methodologies, among others. The current work on the second intellectual output aims to define and establish education and research of the field.

The benchmarking report is a foundational intellectual output that aims at describing the state of the art of higher education programs and other high-qualitative didactic experiences, research centres and companies. The benchmarking report maps players active in the field - in Europe and worldwide -, identifies the best practices and reads current and upcoming trends in the fashion-tech field.

The Second Meeting at Polimi

The project partners met for the second time in Milan on the 14thand 15thof February 2018 at Politecnico di Milano. The goal of the first day was to finalise the first Intellectual Output of the project, the Benchmarking Report, and to present it to the advisory board. Furthermore, the aim was to outline the plans for the next two Intellectual Outputs. The second day consisted of initiating the plans for the fourth Intellectual Output, along with the first teaching and learning event to take place in London later during the year.

The first meeting of the E4FT Partners

The first transnational partners meeting took place on the 5th and 6th of October at the University of Borås, Sweden. The goal of the first day was to meet project staff, have a detailed overview of the introduction meeting with the UHR, the Swedish National Agency for Erasmus+, and introduce the guests to the facilities of the Swedish School of Textiles, at the University of Borås. The aim of the second day was to outline the project plan and tools to be used, along with a detailed plan on the first six months.
