How to answer the market need for hybrid professionals?

As identified in the benchmarking report, the reality of fashion-tech is fragmented and disjointed in aspects related to professionals, trends, disciplines, products, competences, methodologies and applications. Due to the fast pace and variability of the field, and in order to tackle the issues related to fragmentation of the industry, the team aims to define and establish the education and research of the field, in order to facilitate higher education institutions across the EHEA to find points of convergence and common understanding.

So far the work has covered the identification of learning outcomes and competences relevant for a future graduate of the Fashion-Tech Design masters programme. Further focus will be on defining educational units for such curriculum, which will further feed into the development of the teacher’s toolkit and course units, aiming to form a basis for a fashion-tech design curriculum.
