Real/Virtual Mixed Environments

This area involves real or digital fashion architectures, exploring or building environments, as a result of technical and material innovation, to guarantee an experience to the consumer. For example, the space and idea of creating specific garments or accessories; virtual and augmented reality to create analogical/digital spaces; artificial intelligence for the supply chain. The area has mostly applications in the fields of gaming, military fields, architecture, biology and aeronautics. Coexistence of different disciplines are required in the design and development processes, specifically from computational design, materials design, synthetic biology, additive manufacturing and computer science. With a predominance of a technology-driven approach, mainly smart textiles and digital manufacturing are affected by the trend, although it presents a low level of maturity and marketability.
