Field trips are organised by teachers identifying local fashion-tech resources useful for student's learning.

Field trips offer the students an insight in the latest technical advancements and business strategies of an enterprise. Students also gain awareness of the various career opportunities available and understand the driving forces of the community's economy.

The purpose of the trip is usually observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities.

Field trips are most often done in 3 steps:

  • Preparation, applies to both the student and the teacher. Teachers often take the time to learn about the destination and the subject before the trip;

  • Activities that happen on the field trips often include: lectures, tours, worksheets, videos and practical demonstrations;

  • Follow-up activities are generally discussions that occur once the field trip is completed.

Mix and match with research-focused workshop, work-based learning and learning through research
